Today we're delighted to announce that Piece of Cake, our real-time multiplayer games app, is officially live. After many late nights, an extended beta, and an awful lot of test games, you can finally download Piece of Cake on your phone, invite your friends, and start a table in seconds.
We built Piece of Cake because the card and board games we grew up playing deserve a better home on mobile. No ads interrupting your turn, and no coin packs nudging you to spend. Just the real games, with the real people you actually want to play with — plus optional AI opponents on tap when you want to practise or fill an empty seat.
Switch is in the box today
Piece of Cake launches with Switch — known in other parts of the world as Crazy Eights or Mau Mau — fully polished and ready to play. It's a quick game to teach, easy to pick up, and surprisingly cutthroat once everyone's got the hang of pickup-twos and skip cards. Whether you're playing with a long-time group chat or introducing the game to someone for the first time, it's exactly the kind of evening filler we wanted to ship first.
Friends first, AI on tap
Every table in Piece of Cake is built around the people you choose. Tap Invite, share the link in your group chat, and your friends are seated within seconds — up to 14 players at a single table. Or open the table to the public if you'd rather meet some new people.
Sometimes you just want a quick hand on your own, or you've got three friends in but really wanted five at the table. That's what the optional AI opponents are for — add as many as you like to a private table when you create it, or leave them off entirely. Either way, the call is yours.
Turns are server-validated and synced in real time, with quiet turn alerts so a game can play out over a single evening or stretch lazily across a week. Pick up your phone when it's your turn, play your card, put it down again. The rest of the table waits without nagging anybody.

What's coming next
