Getting started

How do I launch fireworks?

Just tap anywhere on the canvas — a rocket launches toward your finger and bursts. Drag to paint continuous streams of particles. The Presets screen lets you switch between nine signature presets, from classic fireworks and Grand Finale to calm ember gardens, and every one of them responds to your touch.

What do the presets do?

Each preset is a hand-tuned scene: an emitter (what launches and how), a colour palette, physics, and optional timeline cues. Pick one to play with it as-is, or open it in the Studio to make it yours.

The Studio editor

What can I edit?

Almost everything. The inspector groups parameters into tabs: emitter (burst count, particle size and life, launch speed, spread, colours, trails, smoke, crackle), physics (gravity, drag, turbulence, bounce), and timeline (sequenced cues for multi-stage shows). Changes apply live while the simulation runs.

What are force fields?

Force fields bend particle motion around a point. Add an attractor to pull particles in, a repeller to push them away, an orbiter to swirl them in circles, or a black hole for dramatic collapse effects. You can combine several in one scene.

What does the quality profile change?

The low / balanced / high / ultra profiles trade particle counts and effects detail against battery life and thermals. If a scene stutters on an older device, drop the profile a notch; if you have a recent flagship, try ultra. The performance overlay (in Settings) shows the live frame rate if you want to see the numbers.

Saving, exporting & video

Saving presets and scenes

From the Studio you can save your edited effect as a custom preset, or capture the whole arrangement (preset, timeline, and force fields) as a scene. Both are stored locally on your device and appear in your Gallery.

Sharing with friends

Presets and scenes export as small files you can share through any app — messages, email, or cloud drives. Anyone with TritonFire can open them.

How do I record a video?

Use your device’s built-in screen recorder — the app includes a short guide (Gallery → video export) that walks you through it: open your scene, enter full-screen play, record, then trim and share from your Photos or Gallery app.

Accessibility & comfort

Low-flash mode

TritonFire includes a low-flash mode (in Settings and the Studio) that softens the brightest, fastest effects. In addition, every flashy preset names a calmer alternative — Ember Garden or Aurora Drift — one tap away. If you or someone watching is sensitive to flashing visuals, turn low-flash mode on before playing.

Haptics, sound & motion

Haptic feedback, sound effects, and tilt interactions are all optional and can be switched off independently in Settings.

Purchase & refunds

Is TritonFire really a one-time purchase?

Yes. You pay once when you download the app and every feature is included, forever. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no ads, and nothing else to buy.

Can I use it on my other devices?

Yes — your purchase is tied to your Apple Account or Google Account, so you can install TritonFire on any device signed into the same account, subject to the store’s usage rules. Family-sharing arrangements are supported where the store supports them.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, so refunds are handled by them, not us. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or your Google Play order history (Google). If you’re stuck, email us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Troubleshooting

The animation stutters or my device gets warm

Lower the quality profile in Settings (try balanced or low). Long ultra-quality sessions are the usual cause of warm devices — the simulation is doing real physics for thousands of particles. Closing other heavy apps helps too.

I don’t feel haptics / hear sound

Check the toggles in Settings first, then your device’s silent mode and system haptics settings. Some tablets have no haptic hardware.

Tilt isn’t doing anything

Enable tilt interactions in Settings. On iOS, the system may ask for motion access the first time — it’s used only for tilt and parallax, and you can revoke it any time in your OS settings.

The app crashed

Sorry — please email support@tritonapps.com with your device, OS version, and what you were doing when it happened. The app sends anonymised crash traces automatically (via Sentry), and your report helps us reproduce the issue.

Privacy & data

What we collect and how to exercise your rights are documented in the Privacy Policy. TritonFire has no account — your presets, scenes and exports are stored locally on your device and shared only when you choose to share them.
