Terms of Use

Effective date: 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0

These Terms of Use (Terms) form the agreement between you and TritonApps (we, us) for your use of the Truck & Bus Theory Ireland mobile app for iOS and Android and the related website at tritonapps.com/trucktheoryprep (together, the Service). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance

By using the Service you also agree to our Privacy Policy and EULA. Together these documents describe how the Service is provided and how your use of it is governed.

2. Service scope

Truck & Bus Theory Ireland is an independent study and revision tool for the Irish Driver Theory Test. The Service is designed to support preparation with practice questions, full-length mock tests, performance review, a road-signs trainer, a tachograph trainer, passenger guides, a glossary, a test-day guide, and reminder scheduling. The current public product scope is category C (trucks) and category D (buses and coaches), together with the truck and bus module tests, the combined CD paper, and the Driver CPC case-study module for each licence.

3. Independence and non-official status

Truck & Bus Theory Ireland is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Road Safety Authority or Prometric. Practice questions are independently authored and are not official Driver Theory Test questions. Nothing in the Service should be understood as a claim of official status, official endorsement, or guaranteed exam relevance.

4. Eligibility and permitted use

You may use the Service for your own personal study and preparation. You must not:

5. Purchases and restores

The Service is designed to offer a free starting experience with one-time lifetime purchases for premium access, sold separately for the truck and bus licences. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and entitlement handling is managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

Restore flows depend on the supported store account on the same platform. Because the Service has no TritonApps account system, purchases may not automatically transfer between iOS and Android.

6. Local data and backups

The Service stores study progress, settings and reminders locally on your device. Deleting the App may remove that local data. Because the Service has no study-data cloud sync, you are responsible for preserving any information you want to keep.

7. Content expectations and limitations

The Service is intended to support revision and structured preparation. It does not promise that any question will appear in a real assessment. It does not guarantee a pass. Performance indicators, readiness views, and mock breakdowns are intended to guide study decisions, not to predict an official result.

The Service is also not a real-time driving aid. Do not use it while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or in any situation where distraction could create a safety risk.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an as is and as available basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free, that all independently authored content will always remain current without review, or that the Service alone is sufficient for exam success. Official and current RSA materials remain your responsibility to consult where appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TritonApps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where required by law, where the Service is being misused, or where continued operation would expose us to unreasonable legal or operational risk.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If a material change affects your rights, we will update the published effective date and provide notice where appropriate before the change takes effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections that apply where you live.
