Braintide is made by a one-person studio in Ireland. Email support@tritonapps.com and you will get a real answer — usually within two working days.
It helps enormously if you say which device and OS version you are on, and what you were doing when it happened.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login, and there never has to be. Everything works offline.
Where is my data?
On your device, in the App's own database. We cannot see it. You can export all of it to a JSON file in one tap from the Profile screen.
I got a new phone and my history is gone.
Because Braintide has no account, your training history does not follow you between devices — that is the trade for having no server. Your Pro subscription does follow you: reinstall and tap Restore purchases. If you still have the old device, use the JSON export on the Profile screen first.
Why does it want the microphone?
Five of the 82 games are answered by making a sound. They read how loud the room is — one number, about sixty times a second. There is no speech recognition anywhere in the App, nothing is recorded or kept, and no audio leaves your device. You are asked on a screen that explains this first, and voice games are left out of the daily workout unless you turn them on. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel Braintide Pro?
Through the store, not through us — see the subscription terms for the exact steps on each platform.
My score has stopped going up. Am I getting worse?
Almost certainly not — and this is the most interesting question anyone asks us. The difficulty adapts to hold you near 78% success, so as you improve, the games get harder underneath you and the score stays where it is. That is why the App has a checkpoint: the same ten games at the same fixed difficulty, every couple of weeks. It is the only number in Braintide that is comparable with last time, and it is the one to watch.
Why is there no percentile or brain age?
Because we have no data about other people and will not invent any. Most apps in this category show one anyway. The Progress screen says this in the app, on the screen where the number would otherwise be.
The word games are in English even though my app is in Spanish.
Eleven games are built on an English word list, and they carry an English badge saying so. A machine-translated vocabulary test produces questions with two right answers, which is worse than an honest label. Everything else — all 82 games' names and rules, the achievements, the notification — is properly translated into all twelve languages.
Can I use it without the timers?
Yes. Zen mode on the Profile screen eases every clock right off. Zen rounds still count for XP, your streak and achievements; they are excluded from the score and the trends, because every level is calibrated against the clock and crediting an untimed round would inflate the one number the whole app is built on. The App explains this where you turn it on.
I am colourblind.
Turn on the colour-safe palette on the Profile screen. Ten games use colour as the thing you have to tell apart; the alternative palette was checked by simulating red-green and blue-yellow colour vision rather than by eye, and it repaints those games immediately, mid-round.
