The fourth game. Chess uses full standard rules — castling, en passant, promotion, check and checkmate — with only legal moves offered, so you can’t play yourself into an illegal position. Draws are called automatically on stalemate, threefold repetition, the fifty-move rule and insufficient material, and you can offer your opponent a draw whenever you like.
Chess is untimed by default, because a Piece of Cake table should still be able to span days. Opt into a tournament-style Fischer clock when you create the table: Blitz 5|3, Rapid 15|10, Classical 60|30, or Daily 3 days +1. Two players, friend or AI, and colours are drawn at random so a rematch usually swaps sides.
The Wall Of Shame. A new leaderboard ranking players by their average game duration, because someone has to be the slowest and everyone should know who. Forfeits get their own board too.
Tidier tables. You can now delete a table you own once it’s no longer being played, not just before it starts — with a confirmation step, so no more accidental taps. Abandoned tables with no human players left are cleaned up automatically. The tables list also got a rework: All, Mine, Joined and Public tabs, games in progress pinned to the top, and each card now tells you whose turn it is.
Fixes. The “Reconnecting…” banner could get stuck on screen forever after a dropped connection — it now recovers properly, and tapping around while it’s showing no longer piles up requests. There’s a new mute all sounds setting in your profile, and push notification sign-up is more forgiving of a flaky network.

Two new games join the catalogue. Gin Rummy brings the classic draw-meld-discard duel to your table — adapted so up to 14 players can join in with extra decks, the player who goes gin taking the round. And Farkle is our first dice game: roll, set aside what scores, and decide whether to bank or push your luck, with proper 3D dice and tunable house rules per table.
Both games are included in the same subscription — nothing extra to buy. Find them in the game picker when you create a table.

Game night, smoother. We refreshed the game screen and hand tray so playing cards feels more natural, made joining a table faster and safer, and made starting your free trial more reliable.
This release also brings a big accessibility pass — better screen-reader support and live status updates across tables, the leaderboard, and the game screen — plus leaderboard, profile, and sign-in polish, and the usual under-the-hood fixes.
