Quickstart

How do I add my first comic?

You’ve got two options. Connect a cloud provider (Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive) to read the comics you already store there, or import from your device using the file picker. Either way the comic appears in your library within seconds, cover and all.

Do I need an account?

No. TritonPanels has no sign-up and no app account. Your library and settings live on your device. The only sign-in you’ll ever see is the optional one to your own cloud-storage provider.

Cloud storage

Connecting Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive

Open Settings → Cloud storage, choose a provider, and sign in through the provider’s own secure login. TritonPanels only ever requests access to read the comic files you point it at — it never stores your files on our servers.

Disconnecting a provider

In Settings → Cloud storage, tap the provider and choose Disconnect. To fully revoke access, also remove TritonPanels from your provider’s connected-apps screen (see Delete your data).

New files aren’t showing up

Make sure Cloud sync is enabled in Settings, and pull to refresh your library. If you’ve set the Wi-Fi-only option, sync waits until you’re on Wi-Fi.

Google Drive on iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad, Google Drive comics are chosen through Apple’s Files app rather than an in-app folder browser. Tap Google Drive on the Connect Storage screen, choose Open Files, then tap Browse and pick Google Drive. If Google Drive isn’t listed, install the Google Drive app from the App Store and switch it on under Browse → Edit. No Google sign-in happens inside TritonPanels on iOS.

Why it works this way: Google only lets an app browse your Drive folders itself after a paid annual security review, which would push up the price of TritonPanels. Dropbox and OneDrive are fully browsable inside the app on every device, and on Android, Google Drive opens Google’s own file picker.

Files & formats

Which formats are supported?

TritonPanels reads CBZ, CBR, CBT and PDF. CBR files must be RAR4; archives saved as RAR5, and CB7 or CBA files, can’t be opened — re-save them as CBZ (how). Where a ComicInfo.xml is present, series, number, author, publisher and other metadata are read automatically.

Importing from my device

Tap Add → Import files and pick the comics from your device storage. They’re copied into the app’s library for fast, offline reading.

Reading

Changing how a comic reads

While reading, tap once to show the controls, then open the reader settings to switch between single page, double-page and continuous scroll, or adjust fit, page-turn animation and brightness. You can set a default for all comics, or a per-comic preference that’s remembered.

Bookmarks and notes

Tap the bookmark icon to mark a page, and add a note if you want to remember why. Find them all again from the comic’s detail screen.

Offline reading

Open a comic’s menu and choose Download to keep it on the device for offline reading. Manage how much space downloads use under Settings → Cache.

Library & organisation

Collections and reading lists

Create a collection to group related issues, or a reading list to set an order for a guided run. Add a comic from its detail screen, or manage them under the Library tabs.

Finding things

Use the search bar to match titles, filenames, series, authors, publishers and tags, or use the filters (unread, in-progress, completed, favourites) and sort options to narrow things down.

Subscription

Start a free trial

From the in-app paywall, tap Start 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends to avoid the first paid period.

Manage or cancel

Apple App Store and Google Play own subscription billing — we cannot cancel for you. Step-by-step instructions for both stores are in our Subscription Terms.

Restore purchases

Open Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. Use this if your subscription shows as inactive after re-installing the app or switching device.

Refunds

Refund requests go through Apple (support.apple.com/HT204084) or Google (support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). If they can’t resolve a billing issue, write to us and we’ll help where we can.

Troubleshooting

A comic won’t open or pages are missing

Make sure the file isn’t password-protected or corrupted, and that it downloaded fully (for cloud files, check your connection). Very large pages can take a moment to render the first time. If a CBR won’t open, try re-saving it as CBZ from your computer.

Cloud sign-in fails

Disconnect the provider in Settings → Cloud storage and reconnect. If your session has expired, the app will prompt you to sign in again.

The app crashed

Sorry — please email support@tritonapps.com with your device, OS version, and what you were doing when it happened. The app sends anonymised crash traces automatically (via Sentry), and your report helps us reproduce the issue.
