Gin Rummy
Draw, meld, discard. Cut your deadwood down and knock to end the round — or go gin for the strongest score. The classic card game, real time, on your phone.
How Gin Rummy plays
- Draw, then discard. On your turn take one card from the stock or the discard pile, then discard one card to end your turn.
- Build melds. Sets are three or more cards of the same value. Runs are three or more cards in sequence of the same suit.
- Cut your deadwood. Cards not in a meld are deadwood, and they count against you. The lower your deadwood, the sooner you can end the round.
- Knock… After drawing, you may knock once your deadwood is 10 points or lower.
- …or go gin. Get every card into a meld — zero deadwood — and go gin for the strongest round score.
- Bigger tables welcome. Piece of Cake adapts Gin Rummy for up to 14 players using extra decks, and scores every opponent against the round winner.
